An exciting opportunity… has arisen, to join the Cheadle & Marple College Network.

The College is looking to recruit to the following post:

Community Security Officer. REF: 780

Full time 37 hours, term time only

Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm 

Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm 

(Timing of actual hours may vary slightly with prior consultation)

The Cheadle College are currently recruiting for a Community Security Officer to work at our campus based on Cheadle Road in Cheadle Hulme. Duties will include interaction with college students, staff and visitors, assisting with reporting and following up on student absences. 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- security experience, with a positive attitude, good communication skills, 

- the ability to work under pressure and to keep calm in emergency situations, 

- the ability to work on your own or in a team

It would be advantageous for you to demonstrate previous experience of working within an education setting, to have a First Aid qualification and to hold a current SIA license or to be willing to work toward this. 

Salary Scale 1C £15,125 (pro rata for term time) Actual £12,879.06
