The Institute of Applied Technology, based in the United Arab Emirates was founded in 2005 through Royal decree of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Abu Dhabi to offer Career-based Technical Education (CTE) in English at the secondary and tertiary levels.  The vision is to produce the scientists, engineers and technicians needed for the UAE to build knowledge based economy.

The Applied Technology High Schools

The Institute has grown significantly from five to sixteen high schools located across all the seven emirates of the UAE.  They provide distinctive secondary school programs that integrate career and technical education with a rigorous academic core.

We are looking for additional COMPUTER SCIENCE teachers for the new 2021/22 academic year due to growth and increased student numbers.

Applicants should have:

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a teaching qualification/License and minimum of 3 years of post-qualification high school teaching experience.
  • IC3 (Internet and Computer Core Certificate)
  • Basics of computer hardware and software maintenance (CompTIA) Strata Certificate) – A+ is preferred
  • MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) Master Trainer Certificate
  • Programming languages Python, Java and C++
  • Cyber C3 Certificate or IC Citizen Certificate.

Excellent Oral and written English is required and demonstrated ability to enhance learning through effective integration of ICT into professional practice.

Applied Technology High School (Al Ain – Male), is an all-boys, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in the United Arab Emirates, serving students from the age of 13-18. The secondary school is situated in Al Ain. It is part of the Institute of Applied Technology, comprising of 20 campuses, including 14 schools and six colleges. 

Applied Technology High School was founded in 2005. The school provides students with a career-based education focused on producing future scientists, engineers and technicians, alongside core academic subjects. Modern facilities include interactive whiteboards and Apple Mac computers.
