The Construction Management provision at Oaklands is extensive and offers courses through to Level 6 BSc (Hon) degree. We offer a range of disciplines including Civil Engineering for Technicians, Construction Contracting operations. Construction Management Site Supervision and Town Planning Technical Support.

We are looking for a focussed and driven individual to join the Apprenticeship Team at a very exciting time for Oaklands as we expand our provision in Construction Technical. The Apprenticeship in Town Planning is a fantastic career route and as new and exciting addition to our programme portfolio which is rapidly growing in popularity.

The role will be focussed on providing support for our students in the workplace and within the college environment through to the completion of their Apprenticeship.

Can you engage and motivate our Apprentices to achieve their career aims and goals using your skills and knowledge in a brilliant career choice? This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to really excel whilst enjoying a varied role.

As part of the Assessor role you will be required to Assess NVQ Level 3 in – Town Planning Technical Support, therefore vocational experience and knowledge of town planning is required, however the successful applicant doesn’t necessarily have to be a town planner, you could be a qualified Quantity Surveyor / Civil Engineer a similar role with relevant and appropriate recent knowledge. Applicants should hold relevant vocationally specific qualifications and professional membership (RTPI / RICS).

You will preferably be Assessor qualified and hold D32/D33, A1 or TAQA Level 3 in addition to D34, V1 OR TAQA Level 4. However, this wouldn’t preclude an individual with the right vocational expertise and a can do attitude as we can provide you with the necessary training and qualifications to be successful in this role.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel between various sites and employers in the Hertfordshire region; standard mileage rates will be paid.
