We are currently looking to appoint an resourceful Cover Supervisor and Sports Coach to join our support staff at Chobham Academy.

Your opportunity

Chobham Academy is looking to appoint an resourceful Cover Supervisor and Sports Coach to work within the agreed parameters of classroom cover in absence of teachers as well as Sport coaching duties. This role would suit a current or aspiring sports coach who is looking to widen their range of skills in a school environment. Whilst degree level education is not essential for this post, we welcome applicants from graduates and there is a strong possibility that the position could lead to teacher training opportunities.

What we are looking for

  • We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning.
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
  • Knowledge of strategies to recognise and reward efforts and achievements towards self-reliance that are appropriate to the age and development stage of the students
  • Ability to provide classroom cover – within agreed parameters – in the absence of the class teacher

The Harris Federation

The Harris Federation Teaching School Alliance is the professional development centre for the Harris Federation, providing high-quality training to schools and academies in and around London. Two Harris academies have been awarded Teaching School status, Harris City Academy Crystal Palace and Harris Academy Chafford Hundred to form the Alliance. 

Both Teaching Schools work collaboratively with the rest of the Federation academies to deliver the Teaching School offer, making up the Harris Federation Teaching School Alliance. We are keen to work with more schools to share tried and tested practices, designate Specialist Leaders of Education and offer high-quality training opportunities to teachers.
