ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to work at a SEND school for students with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition). This is a full time role starting in September and is based in Birmingham. If you have experience of working with children and young people with SEND, please get in touch!

About the role:

  • A Cover Supervisor covers classes in the absence of the class teacher - all work will be set and you will deliver this work
  • You will get to work with most classes within the school and become a strong presence around school
  • Full time, ongoing position beginning in September 
  • A great step towards a teaching career

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is experience leading groups of children or young people with special education needs and disabilities.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

About you:

  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly built rapport with children and young people
  • Have experience leading groups of children or young people 
  • Ideally have a relevant qualification for working with children and young people
  • Must be able to obtain relevant references and a DBS check
