Cover Supervisor - Derbyshire

We are currently working with a number of Derby City schools and would love to hear from people who are interested in a career in education, particularly Secondary schools. The types of people who make excellent cover supervisors are: Sports Coaches, Youth Workers, Mentors and NQT's.

About the Role: 

The role of a Cover Supervisor is extremely varied. You will ultimately cover for absent teachers within a Secondary School setting across any number of different subject areas. You will need to be a dynamic and flexible individual who is able to manage behaviour. Building positive and long lasting relationships with both pupils and staff quickly is also important.

· Oversee lessons across all subject areas (mostly KS3 and KS4)

· Deliver and facilitate work to be completed by pupils

· Manage behavioural issues as they arise

· Extracurricular activities throughout the school including sport, drama, music

· provide detailed feedback to the teacher to pick up upon their return to work

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

· Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)

· Hold a degree and/or minimum 20 days experience working with children

· Commitment to support the ethos of the school

· Be confident in using ICT in their professional role

· Have excellent communication skills

· Possess valid references, DBS/police checks

The pay for this role will be dependent on experience but ABC Teachers have a fantastic rapport with both teachers and schools across the local area meaning you will be looked after throughout the process

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references (academic/professional) and hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
 

Don’t have an up to date DBS? No problem. We will process a new DBS for you and once you have fully registered and worked 1 day with us, we will refund you the money. This will save you close to £50! (Subject to terms and conditions)
