We are keen to appoint a dedicated member of staff to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.  Classroom Supervisors give instructions for the lesson as provided by a teacher and the primary focus of the role will be to maintain good order and to keep students on task.  The successful candidate will also be required to act as an examination invigilator and provide classroom support with a teacher.  You should have a proven track record of supporting classes and possess the necessary ICT skills to carry out administrative duties.  You will need to be a quick learner and have excellent communication skills.  You should also have the ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team, when necessary.

Tendring Technology College is a key member of The Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a multi-Academy sponsor which aims to provide the opportunity for all young learners to fulfil their real potential, broaden their horizons and become active, prosperous and successful citizens in the world around them.  The College attained Teaching School status in July 2014 and is a large successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, which has two campuses; Frinton Campus (KS4 & KS5) and Thorpe Campus (KS3) with 5 miles between sites.

As  the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.  In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.  You will also be entitled to the following benefits: a health cash plan, vehicle affinity scheme, childcare vouchers and Westfield rewards.

About Tendring Technology College

**Please scroll to the bottom of this page to view our live vacancies**

Tendring Technology College is a large split site comprehensive school for students aged 11-18, located in the pleasant village of Thorpe-le-Soken and the historic town of Frinton-on-Sea. The mix of this rural and coastal location is a lovely backdrop for our young people and at the same time there is easy access to Colchester, the oldest recorded town in the country, and the capital itself, London.

Thorpe Campus is situated in the village of Thorpe-le-Soken. It serves students aged 11-14. Our Frinton Campus serves the needs of students aged 14-19. We take children from a large area surrounding the College. This includes Thorpe-le-Soken, Kirby-le-Soken, Kirby Cross, Great Holland, Little Clacton, Weeley, Tendring, Little Bentley, Wix, Beaumont, Great Oakley, Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze as well as a number of students who travel from much further afield including Harwich, Alresford and Colchester.

Tendring Technology College is an academy and it converted in August 2011. The school was judged to be ‘inadequate’ following an Ofsted inspection in November. The outcome was ‘serious weaknesses’ rather than ‘special measures’ in recognition of the fact that the trust and school leaders were taking the right actions to improve the school and had effective capacity to do so.
