Cover Supervisor

Retford Oaks Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to act as a Cover Supervisor. You will be required to supervise prepared lessons in the absence of a class teacher, ensuring that in doing so the students learning and development is continued and maintained. This is a permanent role.
Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Working hours: 32.5 hours per week - term time only
Salary: Grade 4 (Actual salary £15,369 to £16,663)
Start date: May 2021

As a Cover Supervisor you will work under the guidance of teaching staff and with an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes with individual and groups in and out of the classroom. This role includes supervision of whole classes during short term absence of teachers.
You will need to be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Used to working with young people, especially 11-19
- Adaptable, flexible, confident and calm under pressure
- Confident with behaviour management skills
- Well organised
- Show commitment to professional development
- Committed to education and teaching
