Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise classes in the absence of their normal teachers. 

Supervisors are not required to set or mark work and will follow an induction and training programme before supervising classes. 

We are looking for people who are passionate about working with young people, supporting their academic, emotional and physical needs. Ideally you will be someone who is seriously considering a career in education. In addition to your induction and post training, our staff will provide comprehensive support to suitable candidates in preparation for applications for initial teacher training. 

The posts are for 35 hours per week, term-time with one additional staff training day. They attract a Grade 6 (Points 18 to 21) with a pro rata salary of £14,273.05– £15,906.52 pa, pro-rate (depending on experience). The position also comes with membership of a comprehensive Healthcare Benefits Plan.
