Cover Supervisor

The Bicester SchoolOxfordshire

A unique career opportunity to join the support team of an innovative, growing school.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Support Team for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team-orientated school graded as ‘Good’ in all categories (Ofsted June 2018). The vacancy is on a part time, term time only basis (31.5 hours per week).

The role of the Cover Supervisor is essential to provide assistance to the teaching departments by delivering lessons already prepared by the teacher. Cover Supervisors are not required to plan, prepare or mark class work. When not being used to cover for absent staff you will be required to work alongside teachers in a supporting TA role.

We want to hear from you if you have an interest in teaching or have had previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, volunteer or youth leader with secondary aged children. The successful applicant will be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is able to make the significant contribution required to secure the very best outcomes for all students at The Bicester School. As part of our Induction Programme, full training will be given on our classroom procedures and protocols.

This is a responsible and rewarding role and can be a great stepping stone into teacher training.

At The Bicester School we pride ourselves on having successfully created an ethos that is nurturing, but challenging, and fully inclusive to all staff and students. We are fortunate to be located in a rural part of North Oxfordshire with excellent transport links.
