We are seeking to appoint an experienced, assured and dependable Cover Supervisor responsible for delivering lesson material and supervising whole classes when teaching staff are absent.

Cover work will be supplied wherever possible for you to use as a basis for the lessons and we will also determine your subject specialisms with you as a preference. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for this post as our successful candidate needs to demonstrate that they can build good rapport with staff and students alike. This post is ideal for graduates with an interest in developing a career in teaching as the experience you can gain from this is first-hand, and also those who may have had experience within the education sector beforehand. In addition, you would also help supervise our Homework Club and may be asked to support detentions or provide other administrative support as required.​​​​​​​

This is a Term Time only role, working 37 hours per week, offering an actual salary of £17,718 - £20,114 per annum (£21,189 - £24,054 full-time equivalent), commensurate with experience.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2022, our Trust comprises 30 geographically organised academies (14 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff.
