Are you interested in training to teach? Would you like to get a head start in your teacher training by joining us as a Cover Supervisor? We are the lead school for United Teaching National SCITT and will be able to provide support and opportunities for you to embark on teacher training from September 2022.

Do you also want to be part of a transformational team at one of the top schools for progress in the country? This is a great opportunity to prepare for your teacher training year and gain valuable experience.

To support you on your journey we will provide:

- a full induction programme

- weekly training and CPD to prepare you for teacher training

- a mentor to meet with regularly and support you with your development and future application to train to teach

We ensure that our classrooms are disruption-free so our teachers and cover supervisors can focus on the main thing – teaching and learning. We have a strict discipline policy, and the senior team run daily centralised detentions so that consequences are immediate and teacher time is protected.

Paddington Academy is a mixed Academy for 1,200 students aged 11-18. The Academy was judged to be outstanding by OFSTED in 2011 and was described by the Education Minister as a ‘jewel in the crown of state education’.
