We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, suitably experienced and qualified person to join our team to start in October 2018. 

The role primarily involves contributing to a wide range of teaching and learning activities and to assist and support the work of qualified teachers. You will be expected to supervise classes and support the learning of pupils as they complete work set for them.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, including English and Maths (GCSE grade C), good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience of working with 11-16 year olds in a classroom environment would be advantageous as would a flexible and positive approach.

Golborne High School, a co-educational secondary school of around 1,200 pupils, is located near to Wigan, Greater Manchester. Providing places for pupils aged 11-16, Golborne High is a foundation cooperative trust school, forming a key part of the GoalCo Trust, a network of schools and colleges situated in and around Wigan.

The GoalCo cooperative was established in 2010, but the secondary school itself first opened its doors in 1954.
