ABC Teachers part of TES are recruiting for a school we work with closely with in the Cannock area, requiring cover supervisors to work at their school on a supply basis during School hours only.

The role

The role of a cover supervisor you will be provided with a pre-set lesson plan each day to deliver to classes of 28-30 students across the key stages. The lessons you cover will change each day you work. You could be covering English in the morning, then PE in the afternoon and then Science all day the following day.

You will not be expected to plan the lessons or mark the work. All lessons plans will be pre-set by the class teacher.

What qualifications do I need?

You don’t need a teaching qualification to become a cover supervisor, you need to have 25 days or more experience working with groups of children. This doesn’t necessarily have to of been in a school setting. 

This can be:

 Camp America 

 Football Coaching

 Youth work

 Dance Teacher

 School placements 

 Voluntary work etc

Requirements

All staff must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure which must also be registered to the Update Service (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you), need to provide professional or academic references and attend a face to face interview. A prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Degree qualified (preferred but not essential) and recent experience working in sole charge of groups of children (within the last 3 years).
