What are the school looking for?
ABC Teachers have been asked to exclusively recruit Cover Supervisors for a number of schools in Stafford. You will need to be a driven and enthusiastic individual who has proven experience of working with groups of children. The ideal candidate will be organised, and degree educated.
What qualifications do I need?
You don’t actually need any qualifications to become a cover supervisor. We ask for you to have 25 days or more experience working with groups of children. This doesn’t necessarily have to of been in a school setting.
This can be:
§ Camp America
§ Football Coaching
§ Youth work
§ Dance Teacher
§ School placements
§ Voluntary work etc
The start times will be from 8:30am/3:00-3:30pm each day (We can also offer half days). The rate of pay for a cover supervisor is £60 - £70.
What is expected?
As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise and manage classes in the absence of the Teacher. No planning or preparation is required for the role as you will be following pre-set work. You will need to be committed to maintaining positive behaviour in the classroom. This is a great way of getting into education and gaining invaluable experience within secondary schools.
