Part Time (18 hours per week)

Joining us as Creative Tutor, you will teach students on College programmes and, in particular, contribute to the Level 1 to Level 3 UAL Creative Media Production Programs. Providing relevant student support, you will carry out assessment, evaluation and other administrative duties relating to the post and work closely with the Team Leader to recruit students to meet current targets.

This role demands an individual who has experience of teaching and tutoring Creative Media students; delivering practical and theoretical units for both BTEC and UAL Syllabi. With excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, you will have experience of camera operations, lighting, digital editing, TV studio work, producing/directing and scriptwriting and be able to work effectively as part of a team. We’ll need you to have experience of a range of teaching strategies that meet individual learning needs and either hold or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

This position is based at Carshalton College and Merton College.

Carshalton College is a co-educational further education college based in Sutton. It is a non-denominational school.

The college has been an education provider for over 60 years. It is a major provider of full-time, part-time, apprenticeships, access, undergraduate and supported learning courses.
