We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Curriculum Leader - Humanties. This is a continuing teaching appointment, with an initial three-year appointment as Curriculum Leader – Tier 3. Two subsequent three-year appointments as Curriculum Leader can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.

To be successful in this role you must have a demonstrated ability to teach humanities subjects across all secondary year levels and a strong leadership ability. You will lead the overall coordination of the Humanities curriculum and ensure appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels.

You will have effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team of teachers to ensure the effectiveness of teacher practise and quality student learning. Additionally, you will possess excellent organisational skills and be an innovative and creative educator.


You will:
 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
