Initially the academy will be based in temporary accommodation (a state of the art, purpose built property on Middleton Road) and will move to our permanent home in September 2020, due to be located just off Lees Road. We expect to welcome 150 Year 7 students and 60 Year 8 students in September 2018.

The Curriculum Leader for MFL will work with the Principal, Leadership Team and our growing team of staff to ensure excellence across the academy. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible and committed to ensuring that our academy provides the very best opportunities for every single student. This role is essential in the development of the school as it grows in size, year on year, to ultimately educate 1500 students.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent classroom practice • Passion for their subject and a drive to lead excellence in their subject area

• Evidence of raising standards in their own teaching

• Excellent leadership skills

• Unswerving commitment to the Academy and to Oasis values

• A creative and innovate approach to problem solving

• The ability to be flexible as the school grows and develops

• Relentless energy and personal drive

• Aspirations to further their career beyond Curriculum Leader

This is an ideal opportunity for somebody keen to embark on their first middle leadership or Curriculum Leader role. Equally, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to be part of shaping a department from the very start and embarking on the exciting journey of building a department and school from the very foundations.

We are therefore looking for an outstanding, flexible practitioner with drive and commitment and an unrelenting focus on the progress of all of the students in the academy. We require a teacher and leader with passion for their subject and a keenness to support and develop excellent teachers. We are also seeking a candidate who is keen to offer the best opportunities for students to experience both in and out of school.  In return you will benefit professionally from the wealth of expertise and experience of our family of Academies, along with a range of support services based at Oasis National Office.
