Job overview

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to lead a successful and thriving Design and Technology Department from April 2022 (or sooner).   The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of GCSE and KS3 in Product Design and working knowledge of GCSE and KS3 in other areas within Design and Technology.  They will also have a strong commitment to high standards of classroom practice and the ability to contribute towards raising student achievement.

Hurstmere School is a popular, non-selective secondary academy for boys aged 11 – 16, serving the local community of Sidcup. It is a special place, with a strong sense of community and a determination to succeed in all that we do. The school is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all pupils and a “culture of vigilance” to safeguard and protect all in its care.
