The British School, New Delhi seeks an experienced Curriculum Leader of Science who is an outstanding practitioner in Biology, Chemistry or Physics and has a strong understanding of both IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme levels.
Curriculum Leaders form a vital part of the middle leadership team and are part of the Secondary Senior Leadership Team, helping shape secondary provision beyond their area of specialism. Curriculum Leaders need to have a good knowledge of educational issues and are expected to keep up to date with, lead on and work in conjunction with team members on improving pedagogy and practice. The appointee will have the ability to collaborate and develop Science programmes that are both stimulating and challenging to engage students of all abilities. They will also develop assessments to monitor the progress of student learning and achievement; use data on student achievement to inform planning and teaching; and share relevant feedback with students, parents and external institutions.
The appointee will be a post graduate in Science with a teaching qualification/degree from a reputed institution and possess a minimum of 5 years' teaching experience in a leading international school. Experience in teaching IB and IGSCE is a requirement.
