Based in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, Tameside College is a further education college that offers a wide range of courses including Full-Time, Part-Time, Apprenticeships and University Level. We aim to give all our students an exceptional experience.

We believe in excellence and back that up with high standards, real working environments and great teaching. We also believe that attending college is about more than achieving a qualification, important though that is. That is why we aim to give every person the opportunity to develop their full potential in a supportive and friendly environment.

As a Curriculum Leader in Access, Teacher Education and Professional Studies, you will support the development of the Access, Teacher Education and Professional Studies provision across the College and support the Assistant Principal in maximising the use of physical resources and utilisation of staff.

Participating in curriculum meetings so that effective communications are maintained and leading on the curriculum planning processes, you will demonstrate a high degree of commitment to quality improvement through active participation with College quality processes and undertake staff development as appropriate to ensure professional development remains current.

In addition, you will also act as a course coordinator for a group of programmes and plan and deliver teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and teaching materials.

Applicants for this role must have recent experience of teaching and leading on a range of programmes up to level 5, of developing and planning programmes and current teaching practice in a relevant area. With a relevant degree or professional qualification, you must hold a teaching qualification (Cert Ed or PGCE) and have up to date knowledge of curriculum developments.
