Within this School, the post holder will contribute to the management of quality improvement. Along with the Assistant Principal, the Curriculum Manager will design and deliver Study Programmes across the college ensuring that students have excellent opportunities to develop their literacy skills.

To play a full and active role in the College curriculum management team as a member of the Quality Improvement Network ensuring compliance with related policy and procedures in a timely and efficient fashion.

To take responsibility for the operational line management and curriculum development and leadership of a defined group of learning programmes ensuring the quality and effective and efficient deployment of resources. The Curriculum Manager will be responsible to the Assistant Principal for meeting targets relating to learner and staff performance.

To act collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a Management team within a curriculum delivery school ensuring close and timely monitoring of performance against targets, consistence of application of policy and procedures and the primacy of the importance of the learner experience. This will entail deputising for the Assistant Principal from time to time and agreeing delegated responsibility for completion of specified tasks on behalf of the School.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.

Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
