Nelson and Colne College is an Ofsted Outstanding College with an excellent reputation. We are looking for an enthusiastic, competent and highly motivated Data Reporting Analyst to join our close-knit Management Information Systems (MIS) team on a full-time, fixed-term basis until July 2019, working 37 hours per week. 

Working in a busy and varied environment; the successful candidate will help to maintain the College’s main reporting system, providing support for teaching and learning through timely, relevant and accessible information. The ideal candidate will also provide support to the College quality and curriculum teams in the design and production of bespoke reports

Main duties include:

· Maintain the reporting portals used across the College, supporting staff and raising awareness of facilities and features

· Provide technical support for various software packages used in College which interface with the Management Information System (MIS) system. These include ProMonitor, ProAchieve and Curriculum Surveyor

· Assist with technical aspects of the information systems including updating software and providing access to users

The ideal candidate will have:

· Level 4 qualification or higher in a relevant discipline such as software engineering or business computing 

· Evidence of appropriate training in databases, query writing and reporting 

· The design and production of complex queries and reports 

· Good working knowledge of database structure, maintenance and query techniques 

· Experience of report writing using SQL (highly desirable) 

· Experience of SQL Server Reporting Services (highly desirable)
