Deputy Director of Mathematics

We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious and dynamic qualified teacher to be Deputy Director, teaching Maths and helping lead the faculty at Harris Garrard Academy towards excellence.

Your role will be:

• To assist the Director of Mathematics in providing leadership, innovation and direction in teaching and learning
• To lead all staff within the Mathematics Department in delivering our vision of an outstanding, inclusive academy with the highest standards of teaching, learning and pupil progress.
• To develop a safe, secure and healthy environment within the department to enable staff and students to enjoy learning.

What we are looking for:

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. With Mathematics teaching experience, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of success in raising standards and in innovation. You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.

About Harris Garrard Academy

Harris Garrard Academy is an all-through 3–18 academy with approximately 1350 pupils on roll and joined the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy in September 2017. The academy is based in Thamesmead in a purpose built building.
