Job overview

An excellent career opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding School and Integrated Centre.  Due to the retirement of two senior leaders we have developed a new role as Deputy Head of Centre with lead responsibility for the Nursery School.   

We would like to appoint a suitably experienced and driven practitioner with a passion for early years.  The successful applicant will be able to embrace our ethos and contribute to the further success of our Centre.  The post holder will hold day-to-day operational responsibility for our 240 fte place nursery; the post holder will also have a key role in the overall strategic leadership and management of the Centre.  We are looking for someone who has the commitment and motivation to support the Joint Heads of Centre in delivering School, Centre, and national priorities.

Terms and Conditions

• Teachers Pay and Teachers Pension 

• 27 days annual leave, increasing after 5 years of service; annual leave can be taken flexibly around set closure days 

• Pen Green is open year round, 8am to 6pm, 48 weeks per year 

• Two weeks additional leave each summer, accrued through TOIL  Visits to the setting are highly recommended for this post.  

We are holding an open event for prospective candidates on Monday 9th July 2018 from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.  This will be an excellent opportunity to meet our leadership team and to have a tour of Pen Green.

Please note that we are closed for two weeks from 6pm Friday 20th July and re-open at 8am on Monday 6th August.  Short listed candidates will be contacted prior to our closure to confirm interview arrangements.  Short listed candidates will then be contacted in the week of 6th August with further information in readiness for the interview
