We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, dynamic and inspirational Deputy Head to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead our Early Years and Key Stage 1 teams on the next steps of the school’s development.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Early Years teacher with skills in raising both academic standards and be highly motivated with proven leadership skills. They will have a passion for developing the use of the Outdoors for the Early Years Curriculum and for enhancing our Forest School Curriculum.

History

Founded in 1918, Salcombe is a co-educational preparatory day school for children aged between 3 and 11. The school is situated on two neighbouring sites in Southgate, North London, and is served by excellent road and rail links.

Salcombe has a long tradition of success in preparing children for selective maintained and independent schools at 11+, as well as offering considerable opportunities for social, cultural and sporting activities.

Management

Salcombe Preparatory School is run by its Headteacher and her team of senior staff, who retain the school’s unique atmosphere. The Headteacher is a member of the National Association of Head Teachers and the Independent Schools Association.
