Learning together; achieving together
We are looking for a senior leader who is ready and eager to help our school develop further. As our Deputy Head you’ll need to have bags of enthusiasm and commitment alongside being inherently driven. You’ll be knowledgeable, hard-working, diligent and analytical and as well as all of those skills you will also be a strong team player, with excellent emotional literacy skills who will be able to successfully ‘juggle’ the unique demands of our multi-sited school.
This is an opportunity to join the community of a very successful school. Kingsweston had an Ofsted short inspection in April 2018 when we were graded again as a good school, the letter from the inspector indicates that a full inspection could judge the school as outstanding.
We want a leader who is kind-hearted, pupil and family focused.
Our families have often faced struggles and you will need to understand the types of experiences and potential discrimination that having a child with a disability may mean. In relation to our thinking we want to understand our children and young people within the context of their experiences to date, trying to see the world from behind the eyes of the child.
As our deputy you will often be the conduit to implement the strategic direction of the school as set by the Head Teacher and Governing Body. The values you hold in relation to pupils, families, our staff and the wider school community will be a positive influence as you support the development of the school. The clarity of your communication, your ability to see differing points of view yet hold firm to the direction of travel will be core.
