Deputy Headteacher L 11-15 required from 1st September. Due to the promotion of our current Deputy to Headship we are seeking to appoint a dynamic, highly competent, engaging individual who has the drive and enthusiasm to help take our school from exceptionally good (Ofsted June 2019)to outstanding.
We are a richly diverse school with 52 different languages spoken and celebrate our cultural diversity. Our children are extremely friendly, have good learning behaviours and are a pleasure to teach.
Despite the fact Blenheim is the closest school to the centre of Leeds, we are a very high achieving school, proud of our inclusion in this year Sunday Times top 250 schools in the country. Our academic record is exceptional and children make excellent progress at Blenheim (we were 6th in the country for maths progress in the last SATS). We are also passionate about the development of the whole child and pastoral support has a high priority in the school.
Our new deputy will have a proven track record of excellence both inside and outside the classroom and be expected to take forward the tremendous work of the current deputy, particularly in regard to teaching and learning, curriculum, staff development and assessment. High expectations are key to the role and a commitment to inclusive education, so that everyone can achieve. Our new deputy also needs to have the ability to lead teams with care and confidence.
If you are ambitious, enjoy a challenge and want to make a real difference to children’s lives, then please come to look around the school to meet the head and current deputy to see if Blenheim is the right school for you. Please telephone the office for an appointment.
Closing date: Friday 5th March 9am
Interviews: Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th March
Please return completed application forms to email@example.com
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Appointments made are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service clearance. We promote diversity and want a workforce that reflects the population of Leeds.
