The Headteacher and Governors of Compton CofE Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Deputy Headteacher for our high achieving school. Our current, excellent deputy will be retiring and we require an equally strong replacement.
Compton CofE is a two-form entry school with 430 children on role. We are popular, always oversubscribed and well respected within the City of Plymouth. We are looking for someone who will contribute to the further improvement of our school. Someone who will work well with our wonderful staff and the Senior Leadership Team, lead improvement initiatives and someone who will LEARN, ACHIEVE and FLOURISH. We are committed as a school to developing leadership throughout and therefore are keen that the successful candidate will view this post as a journey towards headship. We will fully support you in that journey.
A candidate’s pack is available along with a virtual welcome from the Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher. To request a pack, please email email@example.com including Name, Current Post and School.
Visits to the school are encouraged and applicants are invited to visit by appointment. Due to Covid 19, visits will need to be made after 3.15pm and a face covering will be required whilst on site. To arrange a visit please contact our office manager, Jane Vatcher on 01752 771539 (Term Time) or firstname.lastname@example.org (Half Term).
Compton CofE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share its commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to a full Disclosure and Barring Service check before an appointment is confirmed.
