The Evolution Centre is an OFSTED “outstanding” Independent Secondary School for Looked After students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, based in a small rural village near Shrewsbury.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified primary specialist teacher to join our team as our Deputy Head. The responsibilities of this post will include setting up a new Key Stage Two school, including the recruitment of staff. This expansion will build on our ‘’outstanding” Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four provision, enabling us to offer positive and exciting educational opportunities for 7 – 18 year olds.
In our small, nurturing environment (NOR 20) you will be able to genuinely make a difference; having the time to provide the attachment based nurture and support that our students need to be successful.
You should be able to offer;
- Previous experience working as a teacher with vulnerable and challenging LAC and SEND children
- Prior experience in a senior management role
- The ability to think and work strategically
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Professional skills for effective and honest school self-evaluation
- A genuine desire to make a difference
