Ref: COVCC285

Coventry Education Partnership is at an exciting time in its development and you will play a key role in continuing to develop and transform Extended Learning Centre provision across Coventry; providing clear leadership and direction to teams and delivering positive outcomes for young people.

We are looking for an inspirational senior leader who will contribute to defining the future prospects of some of the most vulnerable young people in Coventry, giving them the motivation, support and self-belief, they need to fulfil their potential. This is a chance to make a real impact on the lives of pupils excluded from mainstream school environments or who have difficulties adapting to school life or overcoming barriers to participating in learning.

This offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the leadership of Extended Learning Centre provision across Coventry in one of the most challenging, but ultimately rewarding, areas of teaching.

You will play a major role working with the Secondary Partnership and other providers and partners, to ensure Coventry young people have opportunities for effective progression pathways to higher education, employment, including apprenticeships, or the next level of study.

You are a senior leader/possibly Deputy or Assistant Head with experience of a wide range of roles and responsibilities. You have a particular expertise and successful track record in managing challenging and vulnerable children with behavioural difficulties in mainstream education, a special school or an alternative provision environment. You are an excellent communicator and able to develop effective partnerships with all key stakeholders.
