This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic and committed team. We are looking for an outstanding leader, as our current Deputy is relocating. The post will involve whole school strategic lead for Inclusion and playing a major role, under the direction of the Headteacher, in formulating the aims and objectives of the school to impact upon pupil outcomes.

All Saints is located in Gorton, an area of urban renewal/regeneration. Our last OFSTED inspection (March 2016) awarded the grade of good. We currently have 240 children on roll and we operate as a one form entry school.  Our children come from a variety of backgrounds, religions and cultures.  We have 50% free school meals, higher than average social deprivation with 60% of our children eligible for pupil premium funding. 40% of our school population have English as an additional language and 23% have been identified as having Special Educational Needs,  The majority of our children begin in the Nursery with very low attainment as reflected in our baseline on entry, however we strive to achieve the very best that we can for our children.  

The role involves: 

• To take responsibility for leading and managing the school’s pastoral team, incorporating behaviour, inclusion, SEND and safeguarding under the overall direction of the head teacher.  

• To assist the head teacher in the leadership and management of the school and in all aspects of school improvement, including taking full responsibility for the school in the absence of the head teacher 

• To take responsibility for leading and managing teaching and learning

 • Be responsible for school performance with a clear focus on teaching and learning and pupil achievement.  

• Show a track record of working in partnership to motivate and inspire the whole school community • Have high expectations of children’s achievements and a dedication to improving life opportunities for children  

• To undertake the role of SENDCo. We are happy to consider an experienced or an aspiring SENDCo with a working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation. As well as having a good understanding of the needs of pupils with    SEND and of the needs of their parents.
