We are extremely interested to hear from professionals who are dedicated to improving the life chances of young people and who have an interest in making a difference to both students, staff and the community which they serve.  We are particularly interested in leaders who are committed to continual professional learning and place great value on the importance of educational action research. We are an Academy which invests heavily in its staff and students and place our core values of Gratitude, Responsibility, Excellence, Aspiration and Tenacity (GREAT) at the core of all we do. You will have significant experience of leading a variety of whole school agendas with a proven track record of securing positive impact. Given the current depth and experience of our existing leadership team, the exact role and agreed responsibilities will be determined in consultation with the successful candidate.

We expect our staff to model and support strategies that promote the very highest standards of behaviour for learning so that our teachers can teach and our students can learn as respect for learning sits at the heart of our Academy.

You will set a culture of high expectations and encourage collaboration from staff and students on raising achievement across the Academy. You will have the ability to play a leading role in the school improvement planning process and to identify key areas of strength and weakness across the Academy. You will have outstanding people skills and able to coach, mentor and develop professionals across the Academy.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will be a visible leader whose presence provides a calm, assured authority across the Academy as you develop strong relationships with students and parents and carers.

This is a key role and the successful candidate will have a real opportunity to make a difference to the life chances of our students in a caring, supportive and highly aspirant Academy community.
