Job overview

Our super deputy headteacher has taken up her first headship and so we are now looking to appoint a deputy headteacher to join our team in September 2021.

The deputy headteacher will develop our culture focused on learning, building capacity for consistently outstanding teaching and learning, our ethos of high expectations for all aspects of school life at Phil & Jim and develop our rigorous approach to behaviour management. The over-arching purpose of the role is to develop our vision for outstanding, inclusive, quality of education for all our children.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Deputise in the headteacher’s absence
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of what constitutes outstanding teaching and learning
  • Inspire and motivate staff, parents, carers and children
  • Demonstrate high standards of interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Show commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity for all our learners
  • Be a dynamic and creative practitioner with high expectations for all in our team

Our school has a new purpose built library, computer suite, two iPad trolleys, a large Astro turf pitch and we have recently had solar panels installed.
