Preston Muslim Girls High School is highly regarded and an extremely successful 11-16 Islamic high school. PMGHS has been recognised by DfE as one of the top non-selective schools in the country. In November 2016, Ofsted graded the school as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas,

"Governors and leaders are relentless in pursuing the best for the pupils. The ethos of the school promotes strong productive relationships between all stakeholders." (Ofsted)

If you would like to be part of the success, we currently have the following vacancy.

We wish to appoint a second Deputy Headteacher with appropriate experience, vision and presence.

Preston Muslim Girls High School is an ‘Outstanding’ comprehensive, Voluntary Aided, Muslim girls school, situated in the midst of the community, close to the city centre. It was graded Outstanding in both of its inspections, Section 5 and Section 48 inspections.

The school has the highest P8 within the authority and is ranked 11th nationally. This demonstrates the high expectations and performance of all within the school.

The school provides a welcoming, calm and safe environment in which our young people can thrive. Staff in every area of the school, whatever their role, are kind, thoughtful and entirely focused on ensuring that every child makes the most of the opportunities offered to them. Safeguarding and Child Protection practices are exemplary; attendance rates are exceptional; and visitors to the school frequently comment upon the exemplary behaviour and attitude of our pupils.

It would be impossible to give the full flavour of this wonderful school on a single printed page. If you would like an informal conversation or to arrange a visit with the Headteacher, Mufti Javid, prior to submitting an application, please contact Shenaz Mohammed, Personal Assistant to the Headteacher, who will make the arrangements to suit you. Her email address is pa.head@pmghs.com or you can call her on 01772 651906.
