An excellent opportunity has arisen for an exceptional person to support the work of the Headteacher and Leadership Team as Deputy Headteacher. This is an exciting opportunity to take a key leadership role as we move a very good school to outstanding. The Winston Churchill School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Woking, Surrey. There are approximately 1,498 students at the school between 11-16 years.   

The Winston Churchill School was established in 1967 and became a Specialist Sports College in 2002.

The Winston Churchill School wants children to excel in a nurturing, caring and vibrant learning environment. It aims to deliver a diverse and enriching curriculum to inspire pupils to achieve to the best of their ability. Students are taught to wear their uniform with pride and value the school community. The Woking based secondary school offers students a wide range of extra-curricular activities to get involved in and gain experiences and opportunities outside of the classroom, including music lessons and sports clubs. Community is important to The Winston Churchill School and pupils are encouraged to become caring and active members of society. The school wishes for students to gain the confidence and skills to be able to succeed when they leave to the next stage of their education.
