We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Deputy Headteacher Teaching and Learning to join our established senior leadership team.  We want to build on the excellent foundations at St Hilda’s by welcoming a highly effective, passionate and strategic lead for Teaching and Learning.  We are looking for someone who will champion teaching and learning for all at St Hilda’s, they will support and develop our staff to be the best that they can be through training and opportunities to research and share best practice. Their leadership will mean that all of our students become life-long learners and be their very best and they will have the vision to lead our Teaching and Learning to the next level.

St. Hilda’s, which is situated on the edge of Sefton Park in South Liverpool, is a welcoming and supportive community. We have high expectations of behaviour and there are excellent relationships between staff and pupils based on mutual respect. St Hilda’s is a high-performing, over-subscribed comprehensive school with a Sixth Form. In 2015, Ofsted judged the school to be Good and in 2017 SIAMS (church schools’ inspection) rated the school Outstanding.

As the successful candidate, you will join us following a period of change. We introduced boys into key stage 3 in 2015, when we opened our new building, and we had a change of headteacher too.
