In partnership with the Archdiocese of Birmingham, the Governing Board and Headteacher of St Francis of Assisi are looking for an inspirational Catholic Deputy Headteacher. Our school motto is ‘only the best is good enough’ and Governors encourage applicants who accept nothing less, who will be strategic, and excited by the prospect of leading progress and standards with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

The school has recently appointed a new Headteacher and is entering an exciting phase in all areas of school life. St. Francis of Assisi is a fabulous and highly successful school where staff and students feel happy and safe and where teachers and learners have a close working relationship. We have very high expectations of manners, behaviour and relationships and these expectations create an environment where all can achieve their ambitions and aspirations.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in building and leading high performing teams, setting rigorous expectations and comprehensive support for all. By utilising their initiative to drive school progress, he/ she will coach everyone, students and staff alike, to achieve their potential.

The appointment is effective from the Autumn term (Sept) 2021 or earlier by arrangement.
