Do you have a passion for getting   the best out of every child? Would you   like to lead improvements in this rewarding environment?

Tower Hill School is an improving   school with a strong sense of purpose and community within our area of   Witney, and has excellent relationships with families and pupils. Our school motto is “Growing Together” and   our school values are very important to us. We pride ourselves on being unique (our school library is a converted   double decker bus, we run our Forest school in the Dell, our own little piece   of wilderness and we have school chicken!) Things like this help inspire staff at the school to be highly   motivated and keen to make a difference to the lives of our children

The Headteacher and governors are seeking to   appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Deputy Headteacher as a new   post. The job description for the post is currently generic as   we are keen to tailor the role to the expertise and experience of the   successful candidate. There will be a   teaching commitment for part of the week. We look forward to hearing about   what strengths you could bring to the role.

Our children say they would like a   teacher who:

· Is   confident

· Respects   them

· Listens   to their ideas

· Is   creative

· Is honest

· Encourages   and supports them

· Is caring

· Is   positive

· Who has a   sense of humour

Our children say they like the   school because:

· We are   active and sporty

· We have a   great playground

· We have   our own Forest School

· We have   great art lessons

· We are   cared for and looked after

· Our   lessons are fun

The school is part of the River   Learning Trust whose principles are a commitment to excellence, everyone   learning and respectful relationships. The trust offers excellent opportunities for career progression and   support. There is something special   about people who work at RLT:

· They care   passionately about what they do

· They   strive to deliver excellence

· They   enjoy coming to work and making a difference to the lives of children and   young people
