North Town Nursery, part of the Richard Huish Trust, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Deputy Nursery Manager to work within a fantastic day nursery in the centre of Taunton. The successful applicants will assist in providing high quality care, an exciting environment where the children want to learn, and supervision of and support to the team members within the nursery. There will also be opportunities for professional development.

The role is ideally suited to applicants who have a Level 3 or above in a relevant Early Years qualification. They will need to have had previous experience in a senior role and have a genuine enthusiasm and drive for working to ensure the best outcomes for the children in their care.

All applicants should have a strong desire to work with, and care for children. They should be kind, enthusiastic, patient and able to work in harmony with other like-minded people to provide children with the best possible learning opportunities, within a safe, stimulating and happy environment.

North Town Nursery provides high quality care and education for 28 children (FTE) aged 2-4, open 49 weeks of the year from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

We are looking for candidates who:

• have high standards of care and early learning of all children.

• are able to work within a caring and energetic team.

• are able to follow all safeguarding policies and procedures of the nursery.

• are able to maintain high levels of interaction and engagement with our children.

• are able to use own initiative.

• are able to maintain the fantastic relationship we have with our parents and families.

• are able to support team building and staff management.

• are able to assist with nursery administration and finance.

Salary: Grade 13, Point 6 (£19,698 per annum FTE, £21,295 per annum Actual)

Hours: 40 hours per week (7.30am-6.00pm Tuesday-Friday (with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break each day)
