In both our Junior and Senior Schools, academic success is achieved within a nurturing environment, enabling our girls to become confident and responsible young women ready for the challenges of life and work in a global world.

Following the announcement of the retirement of Mr Malcolm Alter, the current Deputy Principal, after 11 years of excellent service, we wish to appoint his successor to take up duty on 1st September, 2018.

This is a key role and the successful candidate will be expected to deputise for the Principal in all her responsibilities in both the Junior and Senior Schools, as well as have their own areas of responsibility throughout the whole School. The successful candidate will be a university graduate with appropriate teaching qualifications and a background as a first class educator with proven senior management experience, ideally within an independent school. Candidates should be excellent communicators and have well-developed IT skills.  Experience and appreciation of whole school issues,  a clear understanding of the current debates in education, a commitment to girls’ education and the vision, drive, enthusiasm, energy and stamina to maintain the standing and momentum of this successful School, are all essential qualities. Candidates should also demonstrate an appreciation of the ethos of our School and a commitment to its Christian foundation. Warmth, integrity, resilience, optimism and a well-developed sense of proportion and humour are all desirable personal qualities. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to both the teaching and the extra-curricular life of the school.
