Fixed term for 12 months to cover maternity leave

We are looking to appoint a talented professional with very good subject knowledge and a clear understanding of effective and engaging teaching and learning to join our capable and supportive Design & Technology Faculty.

As a founder member of the Invictus Education Multi-Academy Trust, Crestwood School is part of a carefully planned collaboration between six self-selecting, highly successful schools.  Within the Trust each school retains its own separate identity, but all members are totally committed to working together to ensure that each of our students receives the best possible education.  An independent style of education where students are consistently challenged to be the best that they can be.

We wish to appoint a well-qualified and energetic Food & Nutrition Teacher to work within this successful and supportive curriculum area and teach across the ability and age range from Year 7 to Year 11.  We are looking for a talented professional with very good subject knowledge and a clear understanding of engaging and effective teaching and learning. We have improving results, wonderful children, supportive parents and a commitment to developing all learners in a dynamic environment where innovation is encouraged.

This post would be suitable for an NQT or someone in the early stages of their career.  The teacher we appoint will be fully supported in their induction and have access to high quality professional development opportunities.

The Crestwood School is a secondary school for children between the ages of 11 and 16. It is a coeducational establishment which was converted to academy status in March 2015. It is based in the town of Kingswinford, West Midlands, in Dudley. At present, the Crestwood School has around 645 students being educated at the establishment. 

Crestwood School and Sixth Form exists to provide an unrivalled learning environment for the young people in our local and wider community. Through our teaching and pastoral care we aim to develop independent young people with a thirst for learning. We encourage students to strive to make more progress than is expected of them. We encourage students to strive to achieve more than is expected of them. Our students know, if they do so, they will achieve more success than is expected of them. 

The Crestwood School aims to help every student to develop into independent adults. The curriculum is stimulating and enriches the children’s minds.
