Job overview

Rare opportunity for a teacher to have a truly transformational effect in a school on an exciting journey of improvement

As Headteacher, from day one I have delivered a very clear message to our staff, students and parents. It is that every one of us must take ownership of ambition and raise our expectations of the success we can achieve, both individually and as a community. That idea now defines who we are.

Our aim is simple, to become outstanding. We have already made significant strides towards this and we are looking for staff who understand the culture and climate of the school, our community and the wider educational environment.

We now have an opportunity for an outstanding professional to join our team as a teacher of design technology, or as head of resistant materials should you have the experience, drive and ambition.

The successful candidate will have outstanding specialist knowledge of design technology (specifically resistant materials) and experience of successful teaching throughout Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. They will have a proven track record as an excellent teacher, fully meeting the national professional standards for teachers and leaders.

This role allows you the opportunity to be part of the transformation of a community and the life chances of the amazing young people we serve.

In return, we will invest heavily in helping you to develop your career aspirations into reality. We can offer you a great salary, the chance to be part of a group of schools where you can develop, excel and flourish; with career progression unrivalled by any other MAT. We will offer you the support of a leadership team dedicated to helping young people striving for more and as a GLF Schools’ employee, you will enjoy the benefit of working within an excellent support and learning network and will be exposed to significant collaboration opportunities across our schools.

Please note that we have the flexibility to tailor the role for the right candidate based on your level of experience.

We would strongly recommend that you let us arrange a visit for you to visit the school to see for yourself why this is such a special opportunity. Please call the school office to arrange this on 020-3943-1328

Salary: highly competitive (TLR available as STEM lead)
Closing date: 5th March
Start date: September 2018

As a Trust, we support applications from leaders from diverse backgrounds and from educators seeking flexible leadership opportunities. GLF reserves the right to invite candidates for interview prior to the closing date. We would therefore recommend that you submit your application as early as possible.

Please be advised that references may be requested on receipt of your application. Please state if you wish this to be delayed until shortlisting/interviews have taken place.
