The British International School, Ho Chi Minh City is a Nord Anglia Education School. Design Technology Teacher

A minimum of two years recent experience of teaching Design Technology to GCSE/IGCSE and either A level or the IB Diploma programme is essential. Selection Process

FACILITIES
All of the school campuses have excellent facilities: large libraries, music suites, indoor swimming pools and large sport halls.

STAFFING
The vast majority of Teachers are full-time, British qualified and trained with relevant UK experience. All EYFS and primary teaching classes have English speaking Vietnamese teaching assistants, many of whom are qualified teachers.

CURRICULUM
We provide a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum to meet the wide ranging needs of our students.

Our school offers Early Years Foundation Stage (2 years) through to Year 13 (17 years). We operate within the framework of the National Curriculum for England which is adapted to meet the needs of the international community through the use of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The English National Curriculum is segmented into "Key Stages".

At Secondary level, our curriculum will prepare your child for both the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Working within the structure of the British system allows us to make meaningful comparisons with UK national data, to have realistic expectations of what an individual child can achieve and to develop individual targets for improvement.

ACCREDITATION AND RECOGNITION
The school is a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools and is registered with the UK Department for Education as an Overseas School. It is a registered Centre for the UK examination board CIE and is also an IB World School, authorised to deliver the IB Diploma Programme. The school is a leading member of FOBISIA and has recently been rated as “outstanding in all categories” in a British Schools Overseas inspection.
