St Columban’s College is a progressive, co-educational, award winning Catholic Archdiocesan Secondary College, in the Edmund Rice Tradition, catering for over 1000 students from Year 7-12. Our contemporary campus is located in the heart of Caboolture, easily accessible by rail and bus.

We are seeking an innovative, well qualified, committed, and experienced Teacher of Design and Technology, who is willing to contribute to the ethos and co-curricular life of the College. Subjects taught may include:

• Design & Technology - Years 7-10
• Senior Industrial Technology Skills
• Certificate 1 in Construction
• Certificate II in Engineering Pathways
• Ability to teach in another area also an advantage
• Full Time Fixed Term Contract Position with possibility of continuing
• Commencing Term 1 2021

To be successful in this role you will be able to meet the following criteria:
- appropriate qualifications and experience,
- effective communication skills,
- an ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents,
- an ability to attend to detail in innovative and creative practices, and
- a clear understanding of the new Australian Curriculum.

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Estimated Start Date:  Commencing January 2021

Employment Tenure:   Full Time + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"):  12 months with possibility of continuing for the right candidate

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
