Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, worked flexibility around the needs of the team
Contract: Fixed term to 31 August 2022 in the first instance
We are seeking an enthusiastic drama graduate with the knowledge and skills to assist the full-time drama department staff with the day-to-day running of both curricular and co-curricular drama provision for the academic year.
You will assist the Department, directing 3 productions per year and supporting with the Edinburgh trip as well as assisting with other productions, supporting rehearsals and helping prepare pupils for GCSE and A level exams.
With a degree-level qualification in a drama-based subject at 2:1 or above (or equivalent experience), the right candidate will possess excellent knowledge of drama and drama education, as well as experience of developing and directing productions and a demonstrable basic knowledge of technical theatre (e.g., lighting, sound etc.).
Last year our Director in Residence ran a Verbatim Theatre Residency over two school holidays, which toured to a local theatre. It is vital that the appointed person has a keen interest in establishing new and exciting projects at the school and we are particularly interested in candidates who have clear ideas for adding to our provision.
