Harris Academy is currently looking to appoint a qualified, experienced teacher as Director of All-Through Music.

Your opportunity

Open up the world of Music to our fantastic students! We are currently looking to appoint a resourceful Director of All-Through Music to join us shaping the delivery of creative, inspiring lessons to students across our primary and secondary phases. The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and will be creative and passionate about sharing that knowledge with our students.

The purpose of your role will be:

  • To establish outstanding curricular and co-curricular music provision within the subject area
  • To be accountable for student progress and development in music across the whole school
  • To ensure high standards in music through continuously, developing and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. 
  • To ensure the provision of an appropriately engaging, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students in music
  • To ensure that all school policies and procedures are implemented and applied consistently by all colleagues in the subject area
  • To effectively and efficiently manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources across the subject area

About Harris Academy Tottenham

Harris Academy Tottenham opened in September 2014. As an all-through school, it has begun with a Reception in its Primary phase and a Year 7 in its Secondary phase. These phases will grow by a year group each September until it reaches full capacity and it will also have a Sixth Form.

Our Academy is based on an ethos of excellence, encouraging students to fulfil our high expectations through a dedicated and committed approach. We combine the hallmarks of a traditional Secondary education with a progressive curriculum in our brand new facilities.
