Our school

Westminster Academy is an Outstanding International Business and Enterprise Academy and IB World School serving a multi-ethnic community of 11–18-year-olds in Central London. The Academy is proud of its work to improve outcomes for students in an inclusive, supportive environment. Inclusion Team

The Inclusion Team is made up of Behaviour Monitors, Pastoral Support Workers and Year Coordinators who assist with students’ academic and holistic development. The team works collaboratively with students and parents/carers to promote positive behaviour among all students and to help students overcome barriers to learning. They ensure the Academy’s Behaviour for Learning Policy is adhered to and the appropriate interventions are put in place in order to make students feel safe, secure and successful. The team is highly valued by parents, carers and students who appreciate their care and personalised approach. We are proud to have received a Bronze ‘Think Trauma’ Award earlier this year in recognition of our work to implement a trauma-informed approach to improve student wellbeing and teacher–student relationships.

The purpose of the Director of Behaviour role is to oversee the operational leadership of student behaviour at the Academy. The Director of Behaviour will be passionate about continuing professional development for themselves and their team. They will be responsible for line managing a team of Behaviour Monitors and will be able to provide effective leadership, guidance and direction to those around them in managing challenging situations.
