Director of Development

This top-rated and successful independent school is now looking for a full-time marketing and development expert to expand the ‘business’ side of the school, working closely with the headmaster and bursar to encourage and facilitate investment in the school’s future. 

You will need an excellent ability to communicate both in person and in print. You will also need to be a confident self-starter, keen to get in touch with heads of schools, Cumnor alumni, councillors and local residents, amongst others, promoting the use of the school facilities, fund-raising for the Foundation, and enhancing the school’s profile as a whole.

  You will therefore need to be business orientated, articulate and impressive without being brash or overbearing. You will need experience, supported by an appropriate degree, of planning and organising events, coordinating projects, developing partnerships and managing a budget.  Professional marketing experience would be of great benefit, but excellent computer literacy and facility with social media are essential.
