Job overview

Bellevue Place Education Trust has an exciting new strategic role to support our group of seven successful schools and develop our Trust to around 15 schools.

Our Trust has been established for six years and has seven schools for primary aged children - all have been judged Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.  We are a joint venture bringing together the very best of the fee-paying Independent sector from the UK and abroad - Bellevue Education Ltd - with a highly-regarded education consultancy, the Place Group.

Currently we employ over 220 staff and educate 1400 children.  Our schools are new schools growing from reception.  We are due to be full by 2023 and at that point we will be educating 2,500 children supported by 400 staff.  Our long-term plans are to expand to 15 schools following a period of consolidation, having opened seven Free Schools in three years from September 2013.

Our vision is to run schools where academic excellence is just one aspect of an outstanding education, sitting alongside a rich extended curriculum,  building emotional intelligence in pupils, through the learning experience.  The Director of Education role is key to the delivery of our vision whilst proactive collaboration and support is at its core.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, visionary leader for a Director of Education with an unremitting focus on high-quality learning and teaching, who can make our vision a reality.  Running a small team of advisers and consultants, you will provide strategic leadership and ensure the sharing of best practice, using research based approaches to drive up educational standards.  The role will be pivotal in driving research based initiatives and a branded CPD programme across the Trust.

We want to provide the very best opportunity for every young person we educate to achieve their potential.  If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience, and share our vision for education, then find out more by downloading the candidate information pack through www.pentir.com/bpet
